Prologue & The Basement
The opening chapter. You wake in a dimly lit basement with no memory of how you arrived. This area functions as a hands-on tutorial — no instructions appear on screen. You must discover that ceiling fixtures can be detached and carried by simply approaching them and pressing the interact key. The Basement introduces the concept that light is not just illumination but the primary tool of survival.
WaterWorks
An abandoned indoor water park. The pool is drained and the fluorescent lighting flickers inconsistently. WaterWorks introduces multi-source puzzles: several sensor panels require two light sources illuminating them simultaneously. The entity makes its first full appearance here — previously only glimpsed in peripheral vision in The Basement.
Childhood Memories
The emotional and mechanical climax of Episode 1. A children's play area that should feel safe but has been warped by memory degradation. Slides lead to impossible destinations. Climbing frames extend beyond the ceiling. The familiar children's song plays backwards in certain rooms. This chapter introduces the TV portal mechanic: certain television screens can be activated by illuminating them, transporting you between memory fragments within the same level.
